Job Description - Learning and Development Head

Training & Development (Human Resources & Recruitment)

A key member of the Human Resources Team and will have a significant role in driving the learning and development strategy of the Company, including leading the rollout of the appropriate training programs across business units.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads and establishes end-to-end projects across the full Learning and Development life cycle of multiple learning and development programs ·
  • Designs, implements, analyzing, recommends, evaluates, and manages programs (new or existing) to address various business needs and desired outcomes, including informing the management team how a particular program can impact the performance of the organization and how these feeds into the people and/or business strategy;
  • Adept in various L&D tools such as LMS (Learning Management System/LinkedIn Learning) and keeps abreast with the best industry practices and regulatory requirements
  • Ensures content and deployment are both effective and efficient
  • Knows how to conduct and prepare Training Budget and analysis, competency development and learning needs analysis in determining which types of training are applicable for the targeted participants;
  • Manages Soft skills (Leadership, Cadet/Management Development Programs) and technical skills development programs

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management or any other relevant field
  • At least more than 5 years experience in learning and development of the same position
  • Strong presentation, training and group facilitation skills; familiar and competent with audience-engagement methods and techniques appropriate for all types of audiences.
  • Outstanding communication skills; presentation, written, verbal, listening, and influencing.
  • Takes a consultative and collaborative approach in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing business requirements and always looking at the desired outcomes. Some weekend on the ground monitoring work will be required from time to time in terms of measuring the effectiveness of the programs per business. This also aligns with the nature of the business.
  • Readily able to apply knowledge of all aspects of learning and development across many business disciplines to leverage the interconnectivity of various learning solutions and demonstrate the business impact of recommended solution
  • Highly responsive with demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
