About The Role The China Portfolio Marketing Specialist oversees the transition of Vertiv product portfolio from China to the rest of Asia. Specifically supporting product launches, sales enablement, and associated product marketing initiatives. This role is critical in supporting the company's go-to-market and ongoing promotional strategies for the organization's products. This role ensures the success of products within his or her portfolio by enabling effective multiregional product launches and portfolio messaging. The China Portfolio Marketing Specialist is responsible for building compelling, clear sales enablement and product collateral, often translating from Mandarin to English and supporting APAC product launches and campaigns. Accountabilities
  • Translate Mandarin sales enablement documents in English and revise as needed for compelling messaging that equips sales team to sell and resonates with buyers.
  • Working with APAC portfolio marketing, regional marketing and sales to support the go-to-market strategy for multi-regional product launches throughout APAC.
  • Work closely with Vertiv product managers based in China across all lines of business to communicate product differentiators and value proposition to the wider APAC marketing teams, sales teams, and Portfolio Marketing teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the APAC buying audience by working with sales, marketing, and offering managers to gather insight into target personas, buyer needs, and purchasing decisions for the organization's products.
  • Support and provide input for product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonates with the buying audience; ensure that offering managers provide source messaging documents for downstream marketing functions such as campaign, demand, and content teams.
  • Support competitive positioning for the APAC product portfolio by gathering competitive analysis and input from offering management, sales, and other sources.
  • Support the APAC product portfolio annual planning, launch strategy, and Campaigns.
  • Develop firm project timelines and lines of communication to support APAC launch success. Ensure that content is ready on time and delivered promptly.
  • Provide up-to-date information and fact-based direction to guide marketing launch teams' day-to-day activities.
Background/Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's in communications, Marketing or related field
  • Must be fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Minimum of two years of product or portfolio marketing experience
  • Technical/product category experience required.
  • Related market/industry experience desirable.
Skills, Qualifications And Knowledge
  • Strong writing, communication, presentation development, and delivery skills
  • Ability to translate technical information into value-based communications that are easy for audiences of varying technical levels to understand.
  • Ability to craft compelling sales enablement material that motivates, engages, and supports product sales.
  • Ability to build relationships and promote two-way communication across regions to drive efficient transfer of knowledge and improved visibility of launches and product initiatives.
  • Experience project managing many projects with varying priority levels.
  • Flexible thinker who can adjust to changing demands.
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making skills
  • Goal-oriented self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity, know how to define clear objectives in uncertainty and deliver results.
  • Process-oriented; experience managing projects from initial scoping to execution, implementation, and ongoing control.
  • Ability to keep pace in a high output environment.
  • Empathetic to buyers, customers, users, and sales resources.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work across functional teams.
  • Detail oriented, well organized, efficient with time management.
