AU Estimator

This is a remote position.

• Utilise Groundplan to extract detailed information from architectural and Engineer drawings for the purpose of estimating project costs.
  
• Analyse project requirements, specifications, and scope to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates and project methodologies.
  
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design intent, material specifications, and construction methods.
  
• Conduct thorough research to identify and evaluate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for all aspects of construction, including but not limited to, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and finishes.
  
• Develop and maintain databases of pricing information, historical cost data, and industry trends to support accurate estimating.
  
• Review and analyse subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  
• At least 3+ years of experience as an Estimator in the architectural or construction industry.
  
• Proficiency in Estimating software, particularly Groundplan
  
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  
• Great communication skills both verbal and written.
