Our Eikaiwa business focuses on delivering quality lessons to our Japanese customers with our roster of home-based tutors.

Dispatch

Our Dispatch business handles fulfilling quality lessons to our business partners through the help of our current pool of highly qualified home-based tutors.

As an Material Creation Manager you will help the company fulfill its mission to expand mankind’s possibilities as you will be providing good quality lessons through lessons materials. You will create effective materials to cater customer’s satisfaction. To do that, you will be assigned to make activities, that are not limited to just creating the contents, but also proactively cultivating customers’ demands and developing materials for customers’ effective English learning as well as future market’s demand and situation. You will lead the Material Creation Department for a drastic organizational improvement and to achieve goals. Your position is required to figure out to-do’s to accomplish company goals. You will communicate with HO in Japan to know client’s demand and apply the idea to materials.

Job Requirements

What you’ll need:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably courses related to English Language Studies, English major in Literature, Creative Writing, Education or equivalent.
• Preferrably with atleast 5 years of working experience and expertise in teaching English as a 2nd language to Japanese or 2nd language students online and/or in a school environment.
• Preferably With professional proficiency in English such as TOEIC, TOEFL certification.
• Experience in designing and developing teaching materials and strategies beyond lesson materials.
• With deep understanding of English education in Japan, effective learning methods, and strategies to engage Japanese learners and familiarity with Japanese culture and language, preferably with experience living in Japan or contributing to Japan’s English education.
• Ability to simplify complex language concepts like grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure for different levels of learners.
• Proficiency in coding and using tools like Canva, WordPress, and other Weblio Philippines system tools for material creation.
• Creative instincts and the ability to create engaging content for various customer levels and strong organizational skills and efficiency in utilizing available resources.
• Proficiency in Japanese to collaborate effectively with the head office.
• Leadership and collaboration skills to strengthen the team and effectively communicate with the head office.
• Must be willing to learn and be trained.
• Must be willing to work in Makati City.

Nice to have:

• Work experience with customer service or support and / or in Human Resource

For Covid-19 precautionary measures, we are currently working from home.
Internet Requirements:

• Internet Plan must be DSL or Fibr
• Download speed must be 5 MBPs and above

Work Scope

Material Creation Management:

• Pro-actively propose and execute new initiatives in order to achieve the department’s goals and the company’s mission.
• Spearhead the process of improving and creating both existing and new Weblio Philippines English learning materials across a variety of customers’ levels and demands from activities on materials.
• Work hand-in-hand with the top management and department managers, head office and partner schools to analyze, understand and strategize to improve and/or produce existing materials and new materials.
• Help develop and implement efficient processes for up-scaling the creation of educational content.
• Proactively learn and analyze English education for customers to create and develop materials based on customers’ demands and for their improvement.
• Design and develop materials for not only limited the current market but also for future markets and services.
• Provide English-related pedagogical support, training manuals on how to maximize all teaching materials to all Weblio Philippines home based tutors.

Organization Management:

• Train and supervise material creations department team members by proper work allocation of tasks and provide guidance to team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Let the team apply learning best-practices to design, develop, and maintain appropriate training materials, instructional manuals, learning modules and workflow/documentation procedures.
• Lead and create a stronger team which can handle daily operations and future demand.
• Conceptualize new ways to improve engagement levels through enhanced training and education material for customers and of home based tutors.

Other tasks:

• Conduct regular, corporate, and special lessons, if necessary
• Do other related duties as assigned.
