The Resource Planning Officer role involves demand and supply planning of material requirements for new store construction and renovations as well as materials supplied by Engineering Services. The role also includes order management activities that support the timely delivery of purchased supplies and services to stores for timely store turnover to our customers.
Responsibilities
Demand and Supply Planning
Use of current project outlook, supply/service requirements and data analytics to predict future demand patterns/trends:
- Translate design standards into forecast models.
- Create long-range (12-month rolling) projections for stakeholders.
- Create short-range (8-week rolling) projections for vendor prioritization.
- Review actual purchases for alignment with forecasts and validate discrepancies.
- Provide valuable inputs for prioritizing ES-supplied materials.
- Measure forecast accuracy and update models to align with trends/business direction.
Order Management
Use of business rules and system to effectively manage orders and SAP contracts, monitor suppliers' inventory of critical items, and coordinate and track delivery of orders to stores, consistent with meeting a target service level.
- Review SAP contracts for availability and utilization.
- Monitor vendors' critical item inventory.
- Coordinate strategies to minimize supply issues.
- Track and update delivery status of purchase orders.
- Review and resolve PO errors with stakeholders.
- Perform PO editing tasks as necessary.
- Coordinate and execute PO cancellations in SAP if approved.
Stakeholders Management
- Measure and report vendors' and 3PL performance to stakeholders.
- Conduct monthly performance reviews with 3PL.
- Provide inputs to Purchasing for vendor assessment.
- Conduct orientation on order management processes for vendors and 3PL.
- Assist store operations in coordinating warranty concerns with vendors.
- Assist in resolving GR and billing concerns.
- Monitor vendor and 3PL compliance in proof of deliveries.
- Provide delivery updates and address queries/concerns from stakeholders.
Reports
- Measures and reports forecast accuracy of resource planned categories
- Measures and reports suppliers' and 3PL's delivery performance
- Measures and reports suppliers' and 3PL's POD performance
- Monitors and reports ageing inventory at 3PL warehouse
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Planning & Control or Demand & Supply Management, ideally within the construction industry.
- Experience in supply chain and/or customer service order management
- Certification as an Industrial Engineer or Civil Engineer, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP SRM.
- Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig (Hybrid work setup)
