Senior Data Scientist

Mathematics, Statistics & Information Sciences (Science & Technology)

• Define strategy and manage a long-term vision and portfolio of initiatives to improve business results through creating world-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling
• Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists with a focus on skill development, coaching, as well as maintain a high performing team
• Delivers high value data interpretation and predictive analysis performance data to recognize historical trends that can be used to forecast probable results
• Identifies responses to patterns, turning data into information, information into action and action into value
• Lead and own projects from conception through to production and post-production support
• Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation and implementation
• Manages complex data gathering and integrating large volumes of data, performing analysis, interpreting results and developing actionable insights and recommendations for use across Global Services including statistical modeling, visualization, machine learning, and data mining
• Serve as a liaison with business partners and technical teams across the organization as it relates to supporting data, analytics, metrics, and reporting
• Responsible for team project planning and prioritization
• Manage work assignments and team capacity to ensure the highest impact projects are appropriately resourced

Qualifications:

• Educational Attainment: BA/BS in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain or comparable by experience. An MBA is preferred.
• Experienced professional with international exposure in Shared Services or Contact Center environment in a senior position
• Proficient in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Proficient with SQL as well as programming in Python, R, Scala or equivalent language
• Experience implementing or operating an organization’s Governance model
• Prior people management experience is required
• Building interdependent partnerships, acting as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition
• Analytical skills and experience leading risk-based oversight programs
• Collaborative approach and ability to connect
• Ability to managing complexity and ambiguity
• Bifocal approach - ability to zoom-in/zoom-out for strategic and tactical, high-level and detailed, etc.
• Strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audience
• Advanced knowledge of data governance practices including data QA, taxonomy, data & platform integration, etc.
