Job Description - Talent Acquisition Specialist

The primary purpose of a Recruitment Specialist is to meet hiring goals of the company by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. This entails participation in the full-lifecycle recruitment process. From sourcing and screening candidadtes, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and onboarding, all while ensuring candidates have a pleasant experience.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • Promote OD company's reputation as “best place to work”.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate social media groups/job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Using social media networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter) to look for and connect with potential candidates and network with appropriate groups that suit our hiring needs.
  • Candidate Screening: Responsible for screening resumes and questionnaire stages to determine which candidates meet the minimum requirements. Recruiters then move chosen candidates on to the next step in the hiring process.
  • Interviewing: Responsible for conducting interviews and participating in the selection of qualified candidates for non-volume hiring which are then used to narrow the number of potential candidates who will be interviewed by the hiring manager. Oftentimes, recruiters will set up interview appointments between the chosen candidates and the hiring manager.
  • Reference and Background Checks: Responsible for conducting reference checks by verifying employment information and contacting the professional and personal contacts provided by the candidate.
  • ATS Pipeline management and ensuring all candidates are managed and updated with their application.
  • Preparing score cards and all other test requirements for candidates to be submitted to the hiring manager.
  • Preparation, creation and sending of Job Offers/Contracts to approved to be hired candidates.
  • Coordinating with Hiring Managers all throughout the recruitment process until onboarding-ensuring candidate care by constantly updating them until delivery.
  • Facilitates the candidates through the onboarding process, ensuring requirements are submitted and received appropriate information and ensuring candidate's onboarding are smooth.
  • Candidate endorsement to the Hiring Manager/Training Team.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies

Knowledge:

  • In depth knowledge of Outsourced Doers and The Doers Way product offering
  • In depth knowledge of Outsourced Doers and The Doers Way processes and Procedures
  • Up to date knowledge of Outsourced Doers The Doers Way marketing initiatives
  • Knowledge of the end to end cycle recruitment process.
  • Knowledge of advertising in online sourcing channels (Facebook, Linkedin, Job Boards)
  • Knowledge of online sourcing techniques. (Boolean Search)

    Skills:

  • Management Systems (CMS)Resilient and adaptable

  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate

  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc)

  • Networking and building relationships with communities and groups as sourcing channels.

  • Ability to identify potential talents

  • Ability to adapt to a high-paced recruitment environment, specifically the capacity to interview 10 or more candidates per day.

  • Thorough comprehension and understanding of the hiring needs.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and delegation skills

  • Basic understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies utilized in the candidate recruitment process.

  • Knowledge of headhunting. From identifying to approaching and successfully recruiting targeted passive candidates.

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or any related course or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of proven work experience as a non-volume recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)

  • Prior involvement in the screening process, including conducting interviews and selection until onboarding.

    Competencies/ Attributes

  • Experience in interviewing candidates and seeking out new candidate sources.

  • Experience in preparation/writing job descriptions, job adverts used in job postings on Social Media platforms.
