Training Resource and Research Developer
- The Training Resource and Research Developer constructs and updates the course compendium for training classes. He/she assists the Training Office during government and client audits.
Responsibilities
1.Construct course compendiums and revise as needed.
- Construct course framework, outline, detailed teaching syllabi, and instructor’s manual using available IMO Model Course Compendium, information from subject matter experts, books, and other resources.
- Construct instructor’s manual based on the course timetable.
- Construct course handouts after synthesizing topics in detail.
- Compiles all materials into one final course compendium in coordination with the Training Compliance Officer.
- Construct assessment instruments
- Construct table of specification and allocate the number of items for each topic in an examination.
- Construct test questionnaires and answer keys based on the table of specification.
2. Assist in the conduct of pilot testing, validation of test instruments, exercise scenarios, and other related assessment instruments in coordination with subject matter experts and the Training Compliance Officer, for in-house courses.
3. Coordinate with the Facilities and/or Inventory Unit for the publication of handouts and manuals. Ensure the security of the final soft copies used for publications and production.
4. Secure approval of the Vice President for Training prior to the final production of the handouts and manuals.
5. Assist in and prepare documents for inspections and audits by government regulatory bodies and clients.
6. Coordinate with technical expert relative to the necessary equipment needed for the accreditation or renewal of accreditation of a course.
7. Assist in mock audit prior to any audit or inspection.
8. Coordinate with Training Compliance Officer during actual inspections and audits.
Qualifications:
Education Background and Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or any related program.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are accepted.
- Preference is given to those who have worked in education or training institutions and to those who have experience in program development.
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Computer literate, particularly in MS Office applications.
