The position

This position will manage and implement strategic growth and pricing initiatives for existing and new customers. This position is responsible for overall strategy, performance and management of sales teams through coaching, leadership and motivation by ensuring the activities, direction and results of sales team exceed target and KPIs.

The responsibilities

Develop and communicate annual sales strategy, including aligned operational plan that is designed to achieve annual target and KPIs

Work closely with the Sales Managers to ensure smooth adoption and compliance of department objectives - remove this bullet point

Demonstrate high quality leadership and ability to coach, mentor, and train all teams to ensure they are operating at maximum efficiency to achieve sales targets

Create a high performing sales environment and culture

Implementation of new directives, product launches and sales initiatives.

Manage processes and other mechanisms to maintain sales compliance and integrity, including managing the interface with other departments

Conduct performance reviews with direct reports

Develop and maintain close working relationships with other Functional Managers

Ensure that team members demonstrate the Company’s Values at all times.

Constantly identify and drive improvement initiatives across the department to increase the overall effectiveness of the team

The person

A track record of high performance in solution selling roles with more than 15 years selling experience and existing contacts within FSI and Government

Familiar with the Business-to-Business selling environment

Success track record in closing deal

Track record of sales performance, particularly in a high performance customer service environment

Proven ability to work with a disciplined approach towards managing people and work standards

Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

Proven ability to handle customers objection (Conflict management and negotiation skills)

Selling and growth skills especially conceptual selling and strategic selling skills

Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills

Possess strong personal presence with good networking, influencing and communication skills (Contact management and communication skills)

Strong organization, multi-tasking and time-management proficiency

Ability to relate to people at all levels in the organisation from top to ground management

Microsoft office knowledge (word, excel, preferably access)

Must be resourceful, proactive and meticulous with a “can do” attitude
