JOB SUMMARY
Lead complex logistics for Pacific Island deliveries and thrive in a collaborative environment!
We seek a seasoned Logistics Manager to oversee our CNMI (Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands) operations, focusing on delivering commodities and bulk materials to Pacific Islands. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, develop strategic plans, manage subcontractors, and ensure efficient material management. . Foster strong relationships with the CNMI Port Authority, US Air Force, US Government, and local authorities to streamline import/export processes.
. Develop cost-saving logistics strategies for delivering commodities to Pacific Islands, considering factors like CNMI infrastructure, regulations, and multi-modal transport options (maritime & air).
. Oversee maritime subcontractors delivering materials to the CNMI port, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
. Negotiate and manage contracts with maritime subcontractors.
. Develop logistical plans for the efficient transport of moving bulk materials from the port to designated laydown areas, in accordance with discharge timelines.
. Manage and maintain accountability for all materials stored in laydown areas, including inventory control and security.
. Proactively track shipments, de-conflict port and pier scheduling, address delays, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
. Continuously monitor and optimize logistics processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency, considering the CNMI environment.
. Stay current on import/export regulations and navigate customs clearance procedures for Pacific Island destinations.
. Manage and monitor biosecurity requirements in accordance with CNMI requirements and regulations.
. Prepare and submit required logistics and operations reports, conduct logistics coordination meetings, and support other meetings and reports, as required.
. Manage life support activities to include, accommodations, messing, mail, and on-island transportation. Benefits:

Basic Job Requirements
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: . Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years. of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years. if non-degreed some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements . Requires computer skills and proficiency using email,
Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions. . Experience operating within the CNMI or Pacific islands, understanding its infrastructure and regulations, is highly desired. . Strong understanding of maritime shipping regulations and procedures, particularly for bulk materials. . Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills. . Experience coordinating with government agencies and the US Air Force a strong plus. . Proficient in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field . Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics management, with a proven track record in international shipping, project execution, and cost savings initiatives.
