Job Description

Join our client's accounting team as a Payroll Analyst , where you'll contribute your passion for supporting payroll functions. We're on the lookout for a diligent, detail-oriented individual who excels in continuous improvement and problem-solving. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, and profit and loss. You'll report directly to the CPA, Vice President of Finance, and Controller.

Employment type: Full-time
Shift: Night Shift, Mon- Fri. 11PM-8AM after DST it will change to 12AM-9AM
Work Setup: Hybrid, Makati City (3 days Onsite 2 days WFH)

What sets you up for success:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  
• Minimum of five years' experience in a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Analyst role for a US firm.
  
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  
• Knowledge and experience in QuickBooks required.
  
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures.
  
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets, and data analytics tools.
  
• Expertise in payroll processes, with a proactive attitude towards issue resolution, meticulous attention to detail, and advanced Excel skills. Experience in US payroll, preferably in California, is preferred.

Payroll:

• Review payroll data and documents for errors and inefficiencies, collaborating with managers to resolve any discrepancies.
  
• Ensure proper integration between timekeeping and payroll systems.
  
• Respond to payroll-related questions and concerns, liaising with the payroll vendor to resolve inquiries.
  
• Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  
• Routinely maintain and distribute Personnel Roster.
  
• Record payroll and tax deposits in QuickBooks.
  
• Calculate and record workers' compensation costs.
  
• Comply with and respond to requests for information.
  
• Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations (e.g., wage/hour, payroll).
  
• Prepare reports for relevant departments regarding payroll, budget, and expenses.
  
• Handle accounting responsibilities, including creating invoices, receipts, and bills in the QuickBooks system.
  
• Provide support to HR, staff, and the VP of Finance and Accounting as requested.
  

Bank Reconciliation:

• Verify deposits and answer inquiries verify and develop invoices, receipts, or bills if required.
  
• Assist in enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  

Forecast and Budget:

• Manage Payroll forecast model and reporting.
  
• Support the development of budgets and variance explanations.
  
• Financial Audits & Regulatory Requirements:
  
• Support state and local reporting requirements regarding Payroll.
  

Ad hoc:

• Support and lead continuous improvement projects.
  
• Provide support for other back-office operations as required.
