Job Description - Production Planning and Inventory Control

Functional Scope

Conducts regular review as required by the project of production capacity, capacity utilization vs. forecast and warehouse space utilization to be able to address any sudden increase and decrease in the clients' volume forecast.
Implements a monthly long term production planning (LTPP) based on the rolling forecast from the Customer Service Department and clients' 12 months grid plan, if there is any.
Comes up with monthly master production plan based on firmed volume provided by CSD and prepares 3 months LTPP and Purchase -Request of Packaging Materials provided by InEx.
Establishes database using weekly inventory report that will be used as basis of the Planner in creating safety stock level (SSL).
Effectively manages the ordering of packaging materials and other related materials to ensure its availability, no overstock, meeting the required safety stock level (SSL) and the correct ordering lead times.
Monitors, checks and ensures a well-planned and balanced weekly production schedule to maximize production capability
Monitors, checks, and ensures 100% actual output compliance of production based on agreed weekly production schedule
Ensures that the complete, on-time, and 100% accurate encoding of data, generation of delivery and billing documents are fully implemented and complied with the required output.
Receives reports and updates from Planner about the timely delivery of both incoming and outgoing items both semi-finished goods and finished goods including the status of each project.
Receives report from warehouse regarding the daily warehouse transactions including daily cycle count, stocks daily movement including rejects.
Ensures the implementation of inventory validation thru daily cycle count, monthly inventory count and etc. If does, strategic initiatives and recommendation of resolutions should be elevated to the TMPO Head.
Coordinates with clients as necessary, regarding short landed and over-landed deliveries for immediate resolution of inaccuracy of data and inventory.
Conducts meeting with staff, Trucking, and other departments to discuss and resolve issues and problems affecting logistics operations
Prepares other reports as requested by clients, management, CSD, Trucking and/or other departments.
Develops, coaches, guides, and monitors the Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) team in the execution of and the realization of department's annual goals and objectives and KPI targets vis-à-vis the company goals
Acts as Planner or Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
Acts with urgency and propriety all items within the supervised area necessitating corrective action
Prepares and submits complete and accurate weekly and monthly Production Planning and Inventory Control (PPIC) reports and ensures timely submission of the same.
Ensures that all reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate.
Responsible in defining and writing the business requirement specifications of processes for automation update/revision.
Fully adheres to the company's code of discipline.
Performs other tasks that the TMPO Head and/or Head of Operations may assign from time to time.
Preferably an Engineering graduate
