SCM Lead (Domestic)

Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

The SCM Lead – Logistics Domestic is responsible for overseeing, assess and optimizing domestic operations, ensuring a seamless, timely and efficient workflow. Mastery on domestic movements of shipment requirement within Filinvest group. Responsible on cross checking all documents turned over for payment are complete and within the financial budget. Accomplish department objectives by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work process. Responsible for all administrative and functional management instructions, policies and programs. Provides back-up service functions to operations.

DELIVERY / SHIPMENT

• Provide risk assessment for all possible scenarios that may cause delay of deliveries
• Ensure that the group-wide and client monitoring report is updated and accurate all the time.
• Provide technical expertise on shipment of domestic goods
• Responsible on strategically planning, managing logistics, transportation and customer services
• Responsible to recommend options on routes and shipments should there be a need to adjust based on the needs of the department and end-users in a timely and cost efficient manner
• Able to identify different shipments and payment conditions in the domestic and international market
• Able to identify the risks in the shipment strategies proposed to the group
• Provide assistance in permit applications for but not limited to Mimosa delivery (CDC Entry Entry & Exit Gate pass / Permit to Bring In and Out)
• Liaise between internal and external clients on the status of the deliveries.
• Ensure all documentary requirements and licenses of the entity are complete to be able to freely move items from both domestic and international sources.
• To be able to provide the company with additional savings through proper shipment, consolidation and payment recommendations.
• Validate Clarifications on items proper flow of materials
• Provide schedules loading plans and resolution on logistics related issues and urgent matters
• Monitor the status of deliveries and payment
• Establish evaluation process before, during and after delivery (QA/QC)
• Able to analyze past date/trends and be able to provide the company with additional savings
• Ensure delivery of suppliers in accordance to SLA and/or purchase plan

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze key logistics metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports such as cost analysis, item status and monitoring, and others relevant to SCM initiatives for presentation to management

Compliance and Regulations

• Stay updated on domestic transportation regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Implement and enforce safety and quality standards in all logistics activities.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Ensure proper transmittal of documents
• Coordinate meetings with supplier
• Keeping files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines

SUPPLIER BASE

• To be able to maintain a healthy list of service providers to the group needs
• Assist on accreditation requirements from new vendors and endorse the same to the accreditation committee.
• Evaluates service providers for the purpose of determining their capability to serve the requirements

COLLABORATION

• Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to align financial goals with operational objectives
• Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and manufacturing to ensure holistic financial management
• Close coordination within and outside the organization for any document requirement and person in charge.
• Align with every team member in logistics the process and requirement in processing.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

• Identify and implement process improvements within logistics finance, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance end-to-end supply chain processes
• Understanding the nature of business / project
• Taking part on special projects and business improvement initiatives for the team
• Strategic Planning and assessment of the Delivery to payment process

PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT

• Ensure that the team observes the HR policies in their daily activities
• Lead and inspire a team of professionals within the logistics function
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture
• Coach and mentor employees and ensure that the achieve their KPA’s, KPI’s and development plans
• Provides regular performance feedback, develops subordinates’ skills, and encourage growth

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

• Develop, streamline, and manage the policies, procedures, standards, and strategies in order to ensure process transparency, fairness, impartiality, and confidentiality
• Ensure team projects and deliverables are completed on time
• Provide assistance to users’ inquiries, complaints and requests regarding to operations
• Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the Operations activities of the team being handled
• Supports and explains reasoning for decisions when appropriate
• Sets clear work unit policies and procedures
• Manages workflow and adjust when necessary
• Perform and/or direct day to day administrative tasks
• Maintain current technical skills and apply new knowledge to management tasks for the improvement of purchasing activities

FORECASTING

• Develop accurate and timely forecasts for logistics operations
• Work closely with operational teams to gather data and ensure forecast accuracy

IMPORTATION

• Provide support on coordination with broker, BOC, foreign suppliers and forwarders
• Provide support on importation-related documents
• Provide support on assessment of importation cost
• Assessment and recommendation of the applicable insurance policies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Customs Broker 
• 3 or more years of experience in brokerage, forwarding and, sea and land transportation 
• Experience in handling people is an advantage
