Job Description - Senior Accountant (NetSuite)

Job Summary Home based Job Description Key Responsibilities: Daily And Ongoing Activities
Perform bank reconciliations regularly.
Invoice customers not covered by automatic invoicing.
Process credit card payments for prepay orders as required.
Manage and reconcile expense accounts and credit cards monthly.
Maintain and update sales tax records for wholesale customers.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist management in developing financial forecasts and budgets.
Analyze monthly results against budget, offering insights and suggestions for improvements.
Cash Flow Management:
Efficiently manage the organization's cash flow.
Monitor cash balances and forecasts, managing bank accounts accordingly.
Ongoing Reporting:
Curate weekly and monthly sales reports for sales and management
Provide monthly updates on milestones and KPIs, including commission representative earnings statements.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
Lead month-end closing processes to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial activities, managing accruals.
Provide reporting to HQ in Denmark
For year-end closing, liaise with the local US tax accountant and provide necessary documentation.
Accounts Receivable:
Oversee accounts receivable, including issuing statements, managing portal inquiries, and ensuring payments are reconciled.
Set up new customer accounts in the system.
Vendor Management:
Manage accounts payable, including vendor relations, invoice processing, and facilitating payment approvals.
Ensure commission representatives are compensated accurately and on time.
Payroll:
Oversee payroll via the PEO portal, ensuring employee details and compensation changes are correctly recorded.
Internal Controls and Compliance (Duplicate removed for consolidation):
Implement and uphold proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Comply with financial laws and maintain safeguards over financial transactions and reporting.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant, with a preference for those who have worked in an offshore setting.
NetSuite Proficiency: Ability to utilize NetSuite for a variety of accounting tasks and financial management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
E-Commerce Expertise: Familiarity with the setups and operations of Amazon and Shopify platforms, with an understanding of their financial and accounting aspects.
Supply Chain and Logistics Accounting: Knowledge in accounting for warehouse operations, supply chain management, and logistics, offering precise financial insights and reports.
Deadline Management: Proficiency in meeting stringent deadlines, especially for monthly and yearly financial reporting, with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
Financial Reporting and Analysis Skills: Skilled in generating and overseeing financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and depreciation schedules, employing tools like PowerBI for analysis and reporting.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English with strong communication skills suitable for a professional environment.
