Job Description - Sourcing/ Procurement Project Manager

Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

What is your mission?

You will provide the best service to our partner client by performing these tasks:

  • Provide administrative support for Global Sourcing Director
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining systems and standards for all areas of Imports 
  • Assist manager in communications with vendors, purchasing, PIC, and product development
  • Maintain complete and accurate production control records for overseas projects
  • Assist with issues related to product development and quality control
  • Create and maintain price quotes for all new import projects
  • Prepare/maintain various analyses/reports as requested
  • Communicate and maintain new import project status on a tracking sheet 
  • Update daily the import project status between vendors and Product Development 
  • Request, review, and issue development samples for final approval
  • Create and maintain specification sheets for all import items coming into Leesburg
  • Request and maintain to ensure all testing reports are up to date to Candle-Lite’s standards
  • Work with QS to ensure all drawings are accurate and signed off on
  • Enter import feedback for all JDE PCO projects 
  • Update and communicate all pricing revisions on import items with Purchasing
  • Work with Logistic staff in Norwell MA to receive competitive freight rates from Ocean carriers
  • Review all new items with Norwell MA to evaluate and identify the correct HTS code and duty rates
  • Review and maintain a monthly raw material and finished good PPV report.
  • Track Sourcing and Purchasing cost savings initiatives and report back monthly


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Product Development, or other related field -or a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar industry or field 
  • Evident abilities in process management and managing details 
  • Excellent PC skills including but not limited to JD Edwards, Excel, and Word skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-up skills, and a high accuracy rate 
  • Sound work ethic and commitment to the company 
  • Ability to successfully work with all levels of personnel, including management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Proven ability to work independently and within established deadlines
  • Professional level written and verbal skills 
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams
