The Supply Chain Director for Supply Chain Management is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s supply chain. He/She is also responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
II. Job Description
- Develop and improve supply chain processes and practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws in a way that best achieves the organization's objectives
- Strategic management of supplier performance and future organizational needs to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Accountable for material planning to achieve target inventory turnover while minimizing negative customer impacts due to material shortages or delays
- Responsible for inventory control oversight, ensuring appropriate controls and practices are established to maximize inventory accuracy (quantity and value) to meet customer expectations
- Responsible for achieving delivery and quality standards on locally sourced, globally supplied materials
III. Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated proficiency in supply chain management, logistics, and inventory management
- Experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies and driving efficiency and cost reduction initiatives
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
