Job Title:  MANAGER – GLOBAL TIMESTAMP (TS) IMPLEMENTATION

We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). We are an organization of more than 4,600 colleagues complemented by approximately 500 virtual FTE (i.e., bots applied in process automation). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota & Budapest. You will interact with people from all over the world and get the chance to a truly international organization.

This role is responsible for reviewing solution design documents, preparing and executing detailed test cases, and coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure data integrity in ETL processes. The role involves producing test reports, supporting business teams during UAT, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Requires a strong foundation in ETL concepts, SQL proficiency, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & administer steering logic processes to further Station metrics development incl Life Cycle Monitor with a strong focus on timestamps across all products and all connected reporting areas (incl external and internal customer reporting)
  • Manage implementation of timestamp mappings across all aforementioned areas including technical understanding with other system interfaces (CW1, EIP, Narita, FRP, MyDHLi) & documentation thereof
  • Grasp the data warehousing process and framework to ensure ETL processes align with business requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in SQL , Teradata & Excel, with strong scripting capabilities to manage and manipulate data effectively.
  • Apply analytical skills to interpret data patterns, identify discrepancies, and ensure data integrity throughout the ETL process.
  • Experience with BI tools like QlikSense and Power BI is advantageous, enriching data visualization and reporting capabilities.
  • Gather & analyse business requirements for dedicated station metrics areas across all products incl critical evaluationof required developments & translation into technical specifications.
  • Execute & lead dedicated testing for steering logic relevant developments.
  • Produce detailed test reports and support business teams during User Acceptance Testing to ensure successful implementation.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies and applications, embracing change and innovation within the ETL landscape.
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders, facilitating effective communication between technical teams and business partners.
  • Address and resolve issues proactively, contributing to continuous improvement and maintaining high service quality.
  • Manage missing POD long term project via deep dive analysis & CW1 Bot scripting.
  • Collaborate with business partners to enhance processes and identify best practices, potential training of new metrics & collaboration with training team included
  • Assist staff in resolving tickets with complex issues, maintain thorough process documentation, and ensure quality control.

Educational qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Logistics or a related field is essential.

Work Experience:

  • Experience Logistics Expert and with at least 6 years in Logistics company; preferable DGF
  • In depth operational knowledge of End to end shipment processes and their handling in CW1for at least 2 years
  • Candidates should have advanced knowledge of Job area typically via advanced work experiences so they can manage projects/processes with limited supervision
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on ETL testing experience, ideally within a data warehousing environment. This experience should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and ETL practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting is mandatory, with a strong track record of crafting complex queries to validate data transformations, load processes, and ensure data integrity.
  • Prior work experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus, highlighting adaptability, collaboration, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced development settings.
  • Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA (preferred), or HP QC - ALM is expected, enabling efficient management, documentation, and tracking of all testing activities.

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • With detailed Logistics knowledge of at least one of DGFF core products from an operational perspective.
  • Solid in depth CW1 knowledge – preferably at CW1 superuser level or previous CW1 trainer/rollout team member  – with strong operational knowledge and technical understanding on CW1 setup & operational SOPs.
  • Additional certifications related to SQL, data warehousing, ETL tools, and methodologies will be considered an advantage, indicating a dedication to ongoing professional development in the field.
  • Senior subject matter expert with advanced knowledge of job area (e.g. AFR, OFR, CDZ and timestamps/shipment flow areas focus) including CW1 as well as supporting/associate reporting tools such as FRP/DCR/myDHli is a plus.
  • With exposure/experience in presenting to and communicating with global leaders or stakeholders.
