Apparel Production Manager

We're on the search for an experienced Production Manager to join our apparel and swimwear brand. This role is designed for someone who can not only envision the lifecycle of a product from design to delivery but also manage the intricate process of its creation. Your leadership will drive the efficiency and quality of our production lines, ensuring we meet our brand's high standards and our customers' expectations. We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements. Responsibilities

• Collaborative Design Development: Work alongside the Creative Director and Production Team to grasp the seasonal objectives and create products that achieve these goals.
• Tech Pack Creation: Spearhead the development of comprehensive tech packs with our production design associates. These packs will include detailed material information, trim details, sketches, artwork, and precise specifications to communicate effectively with our suppliers and internal team.
• Quality and Standards: Collaborate with creative and technical teams to ensure all products adhere to our fit and measurement standards. Own the internal ITP (In-Transit Processing) and seasonal ITP processes to maintain quality control.
• Process Improvement: Actively review and suggest enhancements in our design and production processes to uphold product quality while improving productivity. Work closely with technical and sourcing teams to analyze and resolve product issues.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Engage with various departments to address any concerns related to our brand's products, ensuring alignment and cohesion.
• Communication and Planning: Maintain regular communication with production and creative teams to meet critical milestones and adhere to the product development calendar. Implement design changes and establish contingency plans as necessary to address any challenges.

Requirements

• Proven 5 years or more experience as production director
• Exceptional design and conceptual ability with a solid understanding of swimwear styles and trends.
• Deep knowledge of production management
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics
• Outstanding communication ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
• Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field, or a similar college degree with a focus on apparel or swimwear design.
