Our client is a global market and technology leader in Engineered Joining Technology solutions, with over six decades of manufacturing and product development experience. They are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their team in Manila. This role offers the opportunity to grow sales revenue through the establishment of distribution networks within defined market sectors such as Plumbing, Flow Management, Agriculture & Irrigation, and Channel Distribution. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the appointed country - Philippines for Water Management.

What you'll do:

As an Area Sales Manager in Water Treatment, you will be responsible for growing sales revenue through establishing distribution networks within defined market sectors. You will take on full commercial responsibility including financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning. You will also be responsible for customer and account management including receivable collection. Your role will involve developing the Water Management market segment by defining market structures, identifying key customer targets and their potential.

  • Take on full responsibility for the appointed country - Philippines for Water Management
  • Interface into the group through regional meetings, common visits and daily use of an eCRM tool
  • Take on full commercial responsibility including financial plans, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning
  • Responsible for customer and account management including receivable collection
  • Develop the Water Management market segment by defining market structures, identifying key customer targets and their potential
  • Work with State Authority Board, Consultants and Architects on project design and project management
  • Identify from the portfolio of products and brands, the target product ranges that fit to the market needs
  • Develop/set-up distribution partners and customers
  • Establish Brands in the market based on innovation, value to customers, service and quality

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Area Sales Manager role will bring a basic degree in Engineering along with a postgraduate qualification in sales and marketing. You should have more than five years' experience in a similar position within a multinational company environment. Experience in setting up distribution networks is essential as well as proven experience in Project Management. A demonstrated ability to penetrate new markets and close deals is crucial.

  • Basic degree in Engineering and a post graduate qualification in sales and marketing
  • More than 5 years' experience in a similar position and environment
  • Previous experience working in a multi-national company
  • Experience in or setting up distribution networks
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate new markets and to close deals
