Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing procurement operations, developing, and implementing procurement policies and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement efficient and effective procurement policies and procedures.
• Oversee and manage the procurement operations team, acting as the gatekeeper for procurement operations.
• Address client concerns and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, SLAs, KPIs, and TAT.
• Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders (Client & Their Vendors) to resolve queries, including AP and O2B teams.
• Closely monitor the order expedition process (ETA Management) & support in appropriate revenue forecasting.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and desktop procedures (DTPs) for procurement operations.
• Ensure that all allocated tasks are completed within the prescribed turnaround time (TAT).
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to identify the cause of procurement errors and develop corrective action plans.
• Publish various MIS reports to monitor procurement performance.
• Drive process improvements and transformation projects in the team.
• Manage staffing, appraisal, and HR administration tasks.
• Manage Assistant Managers, Management Trainees, and Process Developers.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement coordination or procurement operations management roles, with people management experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing a team of 20-30 members as DRs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in using procurement tools such as SAP and Query Management tools like Ariba/Coupa.
• Knowledge of e-Sourcing and e-RF events.
• Strong understanding of market trends and industry practices .
The ideal candidate will have experience with outsourced procurement activities, a strong understanding of procurement processes, tools, technologies, and people management.
