Job Description - Electrolyzer Manufacturing Manager

Summary NEOM Hydrogen Team is developing strategies and technologies for green hydrogen production, production of e-fuels, utilization of green fuels and, other circular carbon economy technologies. The applicant will work within the Technology and Innovation team to develop and demonstrate technologies related to hydrogen production via water electrolysis. The candidate will focus on new types of electrolyser technologies with a focus on finding and developing opportunities for localization of manufacturing within the Kingdom. The candidate will also be involved in projects that implies the use of electrolyser technologies. Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
Provide manufacturing expertise in operations, process, systems and principles for projects that imply the use of electrolyzer technologies within NEOM and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Management of projects in area of responsibility with a focus on delivery on time and in full
Capable of managing the day-to-day operations of an electrolyzer manufacturing facility, including overseeing manufacturing engineering, production schedules, quality control procedures, safe systems of work and inventory management.
Capable of scaling products from low to high MRL's through discrete, batch, series, high volume and connected manufacturing processes
Able to identify and implement process improvements in line with LEAN principles to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
Can collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality control, and commercial to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the manufacturing value chain.
Manage and maintain relationships with OEM's and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality services, equipment and products
Stay abreast of technological advancements in manufacturing relevant to high volume manufacturing of electrolyzers, and capable of developing them through to implementation
Be able to prepare and manage budgets for electrolyzer manufacturing, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of facility, resources and materials
Analyse production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards
Prepare reports and presentations on electrolyser manufacturing performance for senior management.
Knowledge And Experience Role specific requirements
Must have strong understanding of the Far East Asian electrolyzer industry and supply chain dynamics, specifically China
Experience with electrolyzer technologies, including alkaline, polymer electrolyte membrane, anion exchange membrane, and or solid oxide systems
Experience with development and manufacturing of electrolyzer cells and stacks

Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as production planning software, quality control software, and data analysis tools
Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards in the electrolyser manufacturing industry
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing manufacturing operations, preferably in the clean energy or electrochemistry sector
Green belt in Lean/Six Sigma
