Junior Pricing Specialist

The Role

SUMMARY: The Junior pricing specialist is a key resource to on Blackhawk’s pricing team. The pricing specialist uses information resources regarding historical data, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets to ensure we are priced competitively in the marketplace.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain pricing tools and profitability models
• Grow total gross margin dollars by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher margin rates
• Monitor input costing changes and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential changes to finished item prices
• Participate in pricing-related projects
• Assist R&D efforts on Competitive pricing with market views and feedback
• Perform other duties as assigned

Ideal Profile

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in problem solving and analytical skills
• Must be able to work on multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy
• Advanced Excel Skills required
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change
• Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
• Knowledge of BI tools, practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• College Degree required – preferably Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 1-2 years Sales experience is preferred.
• 1-2 years in the Industrial Distribution market is preferred.
