Job Responsibilities:

• Consolidate worldwide (Asia & US) build plan and work with contract manufacturer to deliver per plan through o Leading materials shortage meeting o Prioritizing shipment.
• Managing worldwide component shortage allocation
• Monitor contract manufacturer's performance and take necessary action
• Work with sales personnel for accurate demand forecast
• Ensure timely KPis report and take action
• Identity process improvement opportunities and supply chain development
• Seek internal and external customers' (eg sales department and distributors) feedback for improvement
• Coach and train buyer / senior buyer and be a supply and planning mentor to build supply planning competency in the procurement team.
• Source for material / service quotes and conduct cost benefit analysis.
• Manage new product as well as End-of-Life transition products according to current process.
• Manage E & O
• Participate as a member of the Avocent Materials Council.
• Participate in World Wide teleconference
• Participate as APAC Operations representative in the Council's projects and initiatives, eg Inventory reduction,
• Provide feedback and update the Operations team on the projects and initiatives driven by the Avocent Materials Council

Job Qualifications:

• Business Studies Degree Science/ engineering Degree
• In-depth knowledge of MRP
• Procurement and planning
• System skills i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint Previous SAP/Oracle experience
• SAP super user
• 8 years + experience
• Experience in IT industry
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Leadership
• Can do attitude, take charge
