Job Overview

As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services essential for the operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed. 

• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and terms. 

• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted supply. 

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs. 

• Collaborate with other departments to forecast future demand and plan purchasing accordingly.

• Stay updated with industry trends and new product offerings. 

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or relevant role, preferably in a laboratory or diagnostic setting. 

• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and supplies. 

• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management. 

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills. 

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. 

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
