As QA Officer III you are in charge to maintain compliance to applicable local and international standards in all territories. You will be a key contributor to a continuously improving integrated FSQMS across all SPAVI brands
You will be in-charge of the following responsibilities:
I. Regulatory Affairs
A. Reviews implementing rules and regulations, makes recommendations, and follows through to ensure compliance.
B. Monitors status of proposed bills and laws pertaining to food; prepares accordingly to ensure SPAVI complies within the prescribed timeline once passed into law.
C. Identifies risks and prepares/recommends risk mitigation plans
II. Nutrition Labeling and Claims Substantiation
A. Applies knowledge on local, regional and international legislation about composition (ingredients, nutrients, additives, etc.) to ensure compliance to nutrition labeling requirements.
B. Provide valid scientific substantiation for claims and marketing communications submitted to the Ad Standards Council and FDA.
III. Quality Management Systems
A. Assist in the creation and periodic updating of SPAVI's Food Safety Management Systems based on current industry standards and mandatory requirements.
B. Prepares specifications, procedures, and policies necessary for the improvement of the quality and food safety management system.
IV. Suppliers Audit
A. Verifies supplier compliance to organization's quality and food safety standards as well as to statutory and regulatory requirements through the conduct of risk-based audits.
V. CPR and Halal Database
A. Processing of requirements for filing of Certificates of Product Registration (CPRs) for all applicable materials, for all SPAVI brands.
B. Processing of requirements and filing/renewal of Halal certification with the corresponding Halal-certifying bodies (local and international)
C. Maintaining database and timely filing to avoid lapsed certifications.
VI. Material Specification Management (International BU)
A. Maintain the Materials Specifications and related documents following records control protocol, especially those of which are confidential in nature
B. Creation of new material specifications sheets based on valid references, as required.
