Job Overview:

In this role, you will lead and strategize the commercial success of various product categories, contributing to the growth and profitability of our client's business.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Driving the commercial success of assigned product categories, maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and optimize product assortments.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Developing and executing effective pricing strategies to remain competitive in the market.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and agreements.
  • Devising and implementing promotional campaigns to boost sales and enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborating with marketing, sales, and operations teams to align category strategies with broader business goals.
  • Monitoring and analyzing the performance of product categories, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Working closely with forecasting and planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Effectively communicating category performance and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in commercial or category management in the e-commerce, marketplace industry.
  • Proven track record of driving commercial success and growth in assigned product categories.
  • In-depth knowledge of e-commerce market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills in market research, pricing analysis, and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
