The Sales Support Officer is responsible for facilitating the administrative support for the sales and management process of existing and new business development; has the authority to negotiate rates and conditions with service suppliers and agents on line with the demand for required services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Helps the business development and sales team to improve their productivity by contacting customers to arrange appointments and ensures all Business Development Manager and Account Executives have high quality, up-to-date support material.
• Handles urgent calls, emails and messages when BDMs and AEs are unavailable, answers customer queries, informs them of delays and arranges delivery dates.
• Handles concerns by phone, email or mail and checks if prices are correct.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, queries and deliveries are handled efficiently.
• Develops and maintains filing systems so as to maintain sales records, prepares reports and provides financial information to the accounting department.
• Administers all quotations and services in the company.
• Negotiates with agents and shipping lines for local charges and other costs.
• Performs other tasks as may be advised by immediate superior provided the personnel is trained for such tasks.

Qualifications:

• A graduate of any 4-year course
• At least one (1) year related experience
• Preferably knowledgeable in shipping or logistics
• Detail-oriented
• Proficiency in MS Office
