Senior Accountant - Start Now

• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization
• Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports and prepare budget forecasts
• Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Checking of all financial transactions to ensure alignment and compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, rules and guidelines
• Mentor and train more junior accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Awareness of business trends
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Relevant certification (i.e., CMA or CPA) is required
• Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City
