As the Senior Commercial Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our beauty category. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and growing the beauty category within an ecommerce environment, with a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability of the beauty category, including assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and inform category strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment and execution of category initiatives.
  • Lead vendor negotiations and partnerships to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotional opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze category performance, including sales, margin, and inventory metrics, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with beauty brands and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and securing exclusive partnerships.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in beauty ecommerce, and incorporate insights into category strategies.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of category managers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial management, with a focus on the Beauty or Personal Care category.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and growing the beauty category within an ecommerce environment.
  • Deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in the Beauty or Personal Care industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive category strategies and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute long-term category strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations and partnership management, with a focus on optimizing product assortment and pricing.
  • Leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives
