Tax Compliance and Audit Specialist

This position is responsible for timely and accurate filing and payment of national and local taxes. Responsible for accurate calculations and recording of tax expense and liabilities to ensure accuracy of balances in the financial statements. Also responsible for facilitating internal and external tax audits. Assist in ensuring 100% tax compliance and creating or enhancing employees’ tax awareness and consciousness towards the Company’s compliance with national and local tax laws.

Job Responsibilities 

Planning and Execution

Prepare data, calculation and documents required in monthly, quarterly filing of VAT Returns, Income Tax Returns, and other tax filings and reporting to achieve 100% compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Facilitate timely monthly and year-end filing and payment of withholding taxes and submission of related reports to ensure 100% compliance.

Accounting and Financial Management 

Assist in computing quarterly and annual income tax liabilities, and ascertaining Company’s income tax position.

Records and Document Management 

Ensures that Tax maintains and updates an orderly filing compilation of physical and electronic database / documents of its Operating Guidelines, Tax returns and payments, Tax examination documents, tax memorandum, circulars, LOAs, notices, financial reports & analysis, financial transactions correspondences in order to ensure availability when needed for referencing, internal and external audits, revenue / tax examination.

Evaluation and Continuous Improvement 

Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, process improvement to ensure that employees adhere to tax rules when performing their tasks.

Asset Management 

Ensures proper maintenance and upkeep of assigned company assets such as office equipment (PC, printer, fax machine) and mobile phones in order to monitor proper utilization of assets.

Other Functions

Perform other related tasks and/or functions that may be assigned from time to time.
