Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Trade Marketing Associate (Category Strategy).

The Trade Marketing Associate is responsible for operationally supporting the Category Strategy Managers in translating category plans into channel plans. They are primarily responsible for coordinating with the channel execution team in ensuring that approved plans are turned over to Channel Execution.

What are the Responsibilities?

1. Strategy and Program Creation

  • Develops the category sales strategies (merchandising, distribution, promotions, pricing), plans and tactics of the assigned Brand/Projects based on the Annual Company Business Plan and Brand Plan
  • Regularly reviews category performance, internal, external data and research and recommends appropriate intervention to address opportunities identified.

2. New Product Launch and Management

  • Lead in the collaborative development and assessment of the NPD Channel plan together with Brand, Channel Strategy and Field Sales.
  • Review and confirm ISQs in partnership with the TSM
  • Leads in the NPI Evaluation at specified periods

3. Inventory Management

  • Ensures equitable distribution of critical SKUs prioritizing key channels.
  • Reviews and approves recommended move out plans for aging stocks in warehouse

4. Category Champion

  • Maintains the collective view of the category across channels
  • Acts as the knowledge center of the category especially during trade engagements
  • Engages in research, studies to constantly improve shopper understanding within the category

5. Financial Management

  • Performs cost analysis for category programs and initiatives

6. Channel Plans

  • Closely coordinates with the Channel Execution Team in ensuring that the category plans are seamlessly transitioned into the right channels

What are the Qualifications?

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Trained and has made the rounds of having grown career in both sales and marketing; accomplished and has proven results in the following such as key accounts and general trade
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
