Corporate Investment Banking, Markets Settlement

Asia Pacific Securities Settlements is responsible for supporting settlements of equities and fixed income trades and for JPM Asia Legal Entities and JPMorgan Affiliates in Asian markets. The team’s primary function is to ensure providing accurate settlement related information to the Middle Offices and Client Service Teams and to ensure timely settlement of trades in the market. Team assists our client group to optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance service. If you are driven and have strong knowledge trade lifecycle, securities operations with a combination of LEAN and other process improvement methodologies, this could be a role for you.

As a Corporate Investment Banking, Markets Settlement - Trade Lifecycle Analyst in Securities Operations, you will execute error-free operations, identify and escalate any exceptions, and comply with the firm's policies and standard operating procedures (SOP). You will identify opportunities for process efficiency and implement them in a controlled manner, while also exhibiting effective communication with key stakeholders. You will participate in training opportunities to enhance your skill set and cross-train colleagues on team member processes. You will have a thorough knowledge of standard operating procedures and related checkpoints, and act as a disciplined and positive team member, operating as one team and thinking like an owner and partner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pre-matching & settlement of equities and fixed income products for Asia markets. 
• Pair-off/Netting of trades and payment processing
• Perform system to system & Nostro reconciliation and resolution.
• Generate regulatory reports and legal ledgers as stipulated by the regulation
• Generate reports for customers and other internal reports including MIS reports.
• Participate in global and local projects including new business, system enhancements and market rule changes
• Process re-engineering to enhance efficiency and controls

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Experience in investment banking middle office operations
• Experience in trade management & securities Settlements.
• Strong Control mindset and understanding of policies/regulations in the industry
• Flexibility to work on holidays / extended working hours on high volume days, if required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under dynamic environment and under pressure to meet deadlines and productivity/quality goals
• Commerce Graduate or Post Graduate preferably 5 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services/ Treasury environment
