Job Description - Fleet Sales Engineer

Primary Purpose of the Role:

  • Work with Area Sales Manager by Identifying potential new and reactivate dormant fleet accounts to increase sales volume. Coordinate with assigned Area Sales Manager in terms of supply for solicited and reactivated fleet accounts. Provide monthly fleet updates to RSM and Sales Director.
  • Monitor Goodyear tire performance vs competitor & establish reliable facts/data for commercial business growth & supporting program
  • Product specialist/trainer for fleets and establish Key Account Plans for top selected fleets.
  • Address tire complaints in area and provide updates to Field Engineer- Luzon. Provide support to Field Engineering.
  • Work delineation will be 90% Fleet Sales and 10% Field Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Discover, sell and maintain Sales Fleets
  • Test fleet and prepare mileage performance report
  • Work and coordinate with saless team
  • Field work visit with dealers to identified new fleets
  • Market survey on fleet trend
  • Inspect and address tire complaints
  • Provide Support to Field Engineering whenever needed
  • Provide monthly updates on tires

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or any related course
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in sales and/or account management, or trade and consumer marketing experience.
  • Exposure to trade, project, and account management. Able to interact closely with cross-functions.
  • Tire knowledge: tire construction, ETRTO standards, F.A.B, GY product performance vs competitor, diagnose premature tire failure, right tire segmentation for fleet usage
  • Tire maintenance skills: mounting & dismounting tire, radial & bias tire repair, regrooving tire, diagnose mechanical wear components in truck
  • Value added knowledge: tire mileage analysis, cost per kilometre concept, V - Box Road Mapping, portable weighing study for trucks and bus, MyGoodyear Tire Management Software, scrapped tire analysis.
  • Knowledge in automotive engineering and building partnership with local and multinational companies to grow market share
  • With excellent training and presentation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and sell concepts and ideas, good understanding of the business and competitive environment
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to details, pro-active, a team player
