Job Description - Market Research Interviewer

This is a remote position.

Job Type: Project-based

Shifting Schedule:

• 25 hours/week

• Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM (NZ Time) | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (PH Time)

• Saturday-Sunday 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM (NZ Time) |8:00 AM - 3:00 PM (PH Time)

Client Location: New Zealand

Job/Company Overview: The client is a market research company that specializes in providing comprehensive data collection services.

 

Job Highlights

This role is a project-based position with a workload of 25 hours per week. The working hours are from Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, all in New Zealand time. The role involves conducting Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) for market research projects for a New Zealand-based market research company.

 

  General Duties

Responsibilities include accurately and professionally conducting interviews following set procedures, survey methods, and specific instructions. General duties involve communicating concerns to supervisors, maintaining professionalism in interactions, keeping the work area clean and safe, and upholding a professional attitude.

Training

Training is provided, covering understanding training materials and company policies, familiarizing oneself with survey techniques and support forms, and discussing any questions or concerns with the trainer or assigned "buddy."

Project Work

During project work, responsibilities include understanding project requirements, introducing oneself properly when contacting respondents, accurately recording responses, maintaining truthful documentation, and reporting any unusual responses to supervisors promptly.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal communication for telephone interviews.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise recording of survey responses and adherence to methodologies.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer-assisted tools for data entry and management.
  • Patience and Professionalism: Ability to handle respondents with calmness and respect.
  • Good Listening Skills: Active listening for capturing responses accurately.
  • Problem-solving skills: Quick thinking and effective handling of unexpected situations.
  • Time Management: Efficiently completing surveys within deadlines.
  • Ethical Conduct and Confidentiality: Adherence to ethical guidelines, especially regarding confidentiality.

Commitment to Continuous Improvement:

  • Compliance: Follow quality policy, confidentiality agreement, employment contract, ISO 20252, and Market Research Society's Code of Practice.
  • Initiative: Recommend improvements, prevent problems, identify and record issues, provide and verify solutions.
