Job Description - Marketing Communications Officer

The Marketing Communications Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the marketing and communications efforts of Homeschool Global. Collaborating closely with the corporate marketing team, this role involves developing and executing marketing strategies, managing brand identity, overseeing online marketing activities, and driving external communications to various stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing

  • Collaboration with Corporate Marketing

Work closely with corporate marketing to contribute to the formulation and agreement of the marketing strategy for Homeschool Global, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives and goals.

  • Marketing Plan Development and Execution

Assist in the development, execution, and measurement of the effectiveness of marketing plans and campaigns, ensuring efficient management of budgets to optimize ROI.

Support in the management and coordination of marketing and PR-related events and activities aimed at enhancing brand visibility and engagement.

  • Brand Management

Assist in managing and reviewing marketing materials, collaterals, and touchpoints such as websites to ensure alignment with the brand direction and maintenance of brand consistency.

  • Online Marketing

Support the implementation and measurement of online marketing activities, including social media marketing, paid social/search advertising, SEO/SEM strategies, demand generation, and lead generation initiatives.

Communications

  • Development of Communications Strategy

Contribute to the development and execution of a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy and plan aligned with the objectives and brand direction of Homeschool Global, considering local priorities and nuances.

  • Management of Communications Activities

Assist in managing communications activities, including budget allocation and expenditure, collaborating with vendors and agencies as necessary to create or localize communications and marketing materials and develop supporting assets.

  • Planning and Execution of External Communications

Support in planning sessions for announcements or matters requiring external communication.

Assist in the release of relevant and engaging external communications, such as letters to parents, regulatory bodies, HG Bulletins, social media releases, and official statements, coordinating with relevant departments, the marketing team, and the executive office as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, or related roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with marketing tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing trends is a plus.
