Job Description - Marketing Officer for PR and Events

Marketing Officer for PR and Events is to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. Primarily responsible for best practice planning and execution of internal and external events to achieve a world-class immersive attendee engagement nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. 1. Oversees and have responsibility for the successful planning, coordination, execution and review of event or campaigns, including but not limited to:

  • JC Cares Foundation
  • Small events such as research launches
  • Other events for Corporate celebrations
  1. Responsible for managing the good quality of photos and videos of every successful event for documentation purposes.
  2. Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics.
  3. Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  4. Coordinate all public relations activities.
  5. Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
  6. Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  7. Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
  8. Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
  9. Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  10. Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  11. Set, communicate and maintain project timelines and priorities.
  12. Develop contacts to secure appropriate and good-value venue hire.
  13. Liaise with external suppliers including venues, caterers, and speakers.
  14. Organise appropriate sponsorship and co-badging of external events.
  15. Work with our graphic designer to develop promotional materials.
  16. Maintaining and updating website content for conferences, events and seminars.
  17. Implement systems with the administrator to manage invitations, sign up, guest list, discounts
  18. Deliver events on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations.
  19. Ensure excellent membership service and quality delivery.
  20. On-the-day management of events.
  21. Perform other task as assigned by the immediate head.
