Position Overview
The incumbent will be responsible for the management and execution of marketing strategy for Wallem, creating comprehensive marketing campaigns and sales enablement tools which drive profitable revenue and are fully aligned with Wallem's brand and Business strategy.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Develop marketing plans and campaigns for new product launches relevant to the Ship Management, Ship Agency Commercial BUs
- Drive account-based marketing activities aligned to sales strategies and which support the generation of target leads and sales
- Own the go-to-market plans and strategic campaigns of the BUs and work with the regional sales teams to take ownership so that they understand, adapt where required, execute and report on the results of these campaigns
- Build a Wallem sales and marketing network liaising between marketing, the sales team and the BU leaders; working together to assess success and relevance as well as identifying and implementing improvements
- Create customer value propositions and key messaging for the different market segments
- Create a channel approach to marketing existing services in addition to new services with clear messaging of the value proposition
- Collaborate with outside agencies, suppliers and contractors to develop relevant content and messaging; ensuring technical accuracy and the agreement of BU leaders
- Support the development and implementation of the Group's strategy ensuring goals and growth strategies are achieved and aligned with customer expectations and overall strategy, mission and values
- Accountable for marketing metrics, results and recommendations of the strategy, plans and campaigns, including regular reporting, tracking, analysis and quarterly and bi-annual performance summaries
- Collaborate with BU leaders and regional sales staff to localize and implement marketing plans for each Wallem county/region
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor in marketing or related disciplines
- 3-5 years' experience of developing marketing strategies, conducting market/customer/competitor research and analysis to identify growth opportunities
- At least 10 years proven track record in developing multi-channel marketing campaigns to support lead generation, preferably in the shipping industry or similar
- Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems are preferred
- Budget Management: knowledge & experience of planning & building marketing budgets for campaigns
- Writing: Comfortable with drafting different types of content spanning POVs, client success stories, video scripts/story boards
- Proven experience of creating campaign strategies that have delivered ROI
- Understanding of brand positioning and how this is integrated into a campaign approach
- Ability to build strong customer relationships, understand customer needs and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with business strategy
- Ability to apply principles of logic or marketing communications theory to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
- Ability to make strategic and tactical decisions where limited prior history may exist
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and to work well under pressure
- Excellent communicator written, verbal and presentation skills. Excellent knowledge of English is required for this role
- Willingness and ability to travel globally, as required
