Job Description - Sales and Marketing Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Manager with proven B2B experience who is willing to be part of a start-up within the commodities industry. The ideal candidate should possess a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and a track record of driving sales growth and market penetration. This role offers the opportunity for career advancement, with the potential to transition into a leadership position within operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing Sales Strategies: Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance brand presence in the commodities sector.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and engaging with prospective clients to foster business development opportunities.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and new business opportunities.

  • Product Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and product launches to support sales objectives.

  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track sales performance, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies.

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as operations, finance, and product development to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement, operational efficiency, and sales optimization, implementing best practices to drive continuous growth and performance excellence.

Requirements

  • B2B Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in B2B sales within the commodities industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics, client needs, and industry trends.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the potential to transition into a leadership role within operations. Experience in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze market trends, and develop actionable insights to drive sales strategies and decision-making.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively, anticipate market changes, and develop innovative sales and marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

  • Results-Oriented: Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives.

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.

  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the commodities industry, including key players, market dynamics, regulatory environment, and emerging trends.

  • Team Player: Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
