Job Description

Job Summary:

The team is in the business of capturing, processing and validating all instructed trades for all clients in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with client Service Level Agreements and codes of best practice.  

You will be responsible for daily trade capture and validation activity.  You will participate in extensive problem solving, makes decisions regarding manual posting and closing the exception at maker level. You will also manage all issues and proper escalation for critical items. Responsible for building the right control environment and metrics to monitor and track performance delivery.

Individual contributor due to the technical nature of the role.    

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Validate exceptions above defined materiality thresholds
• Identify core weaknesses in processes and identify potential solutions
• Continuously develop industry/product knowledge
• You will manage issues/exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolution
• You will work with all internal and external stakeholders to meet overall business needs
• Involvement and initiative in global projects impacting Fund Servicing

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience with pricing, corporate actions, fund accounting, security database or custody environment. 
• Advanced fund accounting knowledge and theories.
• Experience with implementing process improvement methodology and/or demonstrated experience with efficiency improvement. 
• Ability to effectively communicate with, internal and external clients. 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of global investment markets, instrument types, fund types and accounting policies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Knowledge of Invest One accounting system would be beneficial but not essential
• Knowledge of Fund accounting and how it operates would be beneficial but not essential
• Control and procedure oriented
