1. Evaluate existing machinery, and design, implement and test modifications to the machinery or design new machinery. 2. Set up an effective maintenance and service schedule for existing machinery. 3. Diagnose faults and inspect current machinery to initiate repairs. 4. Conduct repairs on machinery. 5. Ensure machinery is serviced in line with schedules and keep a log of services completed on existing machinery. 6. Liaise with external vendors to order parts for machines. 7. Train and mentor junior or apprentice engineers. 8. Work in line with health and safety guidelines
