The data analyst is responsible for collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, scrubbing, documentation and dissemination of complex data sets. The candidate will provide analysis, will process and normalize the data to ensure data integrity and will create queries, views and reports. The candidate will provide support and be part of the US CUS Statistical Reporting team.

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Ability to merge data from multiple sources into one usable file for onshore staff
• Interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Provide reports and/or assist on projects on an ad-hoc basis
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in a complex data sets
• Filter and scrub data, and review reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

• Comprehensive, in-depth and specialized knowledge of P&C insurance regulatory reporting requirements and statistical plans.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.) ad databases (SQL, etc.).
• Adept at creating queries, and presenting findings to onshore staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to approach management with any questions or concerns regarding existing processes.
