About Our Client

Our client is a global leader in the creation of flavors with a turnover of over a billion USD. A distinct market leader in their line of business, they have ambitious plans. Their Philippines business has been identified as a growth driver for the organization and they are looking to hire an Account Manager with expertise in directly managing the key accounts with focus on companies manufacturing in the savory category.

Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Head for Flavors, the person will be responsible for:

• Grow business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines
• Assume lead role for all activities for designated accounts
• Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning company as preferred supplier
• Implement strategic ADPs, sales forecasts, and budget for main accounts, with clear goals
• Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans
• Defend base business in important markets and with important customers
• Negotiate pricing agreements within guidelines and manage credit, pricing, rebates

The Successful Applicant

At least five plus years of account management experience catering to the food industry. University degree in any subject is acceptable. Understanding of customers and competition including customer strategy, programs, priorities, launch processes, and how to position company offerings in the market is important. The person will understand profitability goals for important accounts. He/She will have demonstrated experience identifying unmet customer needs, generating new business and building relationships with important decision makers.
