Accounting Head

The Accounting Head at Octal Philippines Inc. plays a crucial role in overseeing all accounting functions and ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. This position is responsible for leading the accounting team and driving the efficient execution of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Accounting Head also collaborates with other departments to support overarching business objectives and ensure the smooth financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting team to guarantee accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Manage and oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax returns.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
• Work closely with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits.
• Develop financial forecasting and budgets; monitor financial performance against goals.
• Collaborate with management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Head of Accounting in a relevant industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to forecast trends and identify issues.
