Accounting Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a highly competent and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, full compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), and adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements. The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team, strengthen internal controls, and provide management with reliable financial analysis and reports to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

• Review general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and income statements

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Review and improve accounting policies, procedures, and workflows

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

People Management

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff

• Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide training and development

• Ensure proper workload distribution and adherence to deadlines

Budgeting & Management Support

• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting

• Provide financial analysis and management reports to support decision-making

• Support special projects, business planning, and process improvements

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of BS Accountancy

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Experience

• At least 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience

• Minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of PFRS, taxation, and regulatory compliance

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Proven leadership and people management skills

• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
