Accounting Operations Manager - Makati City

Arla Foods Corporation is looking for an Accounting Operations Manager who has a solid background in leading day-to-day operations in the Philippines, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with local statutory and tax requirements. This role manages the accounting team, oversees the financial close, ensures BIR and regulatory compliance, and drives continuous process improvement in support of business and regional finance objectives. How you will make an impact 

You will belong in an organization with over 140 years of heritage as a European cooperative, being a strong leader requires a mindset where you can work across all business units and navigate in a matrix organization, it also requires you to be a team player, where you see the value of teamwork and collaboration

• You oversee end-to-end accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany transactions


• You ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in line with group and local timelines


• You drive full compliance with Philippine tax and statutory requirements by overseeing BIR, SEC, and regulatory filings, managing audits, and acting as the primary liaison with authorities and tax advisors.


• You maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness by applying accounting policies consistently in line with IFRS, local standards, and company requirements, and by leading internal and external audits to closure.


• You champion continuous improvement by streamlining finance processes and supporting finance transformation, system enhancements, and regional initiatives


• You are a strategic and authentic leader who understands and acknowledges that you can only be as strong as your team - you put them first - you support, guide and mentor them when needed, but most importantly, you empower them to reach their fullest potential!

The Accounting Operations Manager will be part of the Finance team and will report directly to the Head of Finance.

What will make you successful 

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred


• You have at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including people or process leadership


• You have strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), financial reporting, and internal controls


• You have a solid background on month-end/year-end close, audits, and statutory/tax compliance


• You are proficient in accounting systems including SAP and Oracle NetSuite


• You an inspiring leader and demonstrates exceptional collaboration and communications skills


• You are organized, results-driven, thrives in a dynamic work environment, able to create sound decisions and demonstrates ownership


• You can do thorough data analysis and confidently communicate results and insights for action planning
