Position: Accounting Staff
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Job Overview:
The Accounting Staff is an entry or mid-level accounting professional who is responsible for maintaining financial records of the company. His/Her duties include confirming compliance with BIR rules, reconciling bank statements and balancing the ledger for regular reports. He/She reports to the Chief Finance Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
- Reconciles bank statements and records and compares them with general ledger.
- Maintains accounting databases by entering data into the computer and processing backups.
- Verifies financial reports by running performance analysis.
- Determines value of depreciable assets.
- Tracking of invoice status, payments, and projects for collection.
- Preparation of Tax Return for the company and its affiliates using eBIR and EFPS.
- Ensures compliance with BIR and SEC regulations by submitting reportorial requirements before the deadline.
- Handles reimbursement and Petty cash replenishments of employees.
- Offers assistance during Audits.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Coordinates meetings and conference calls, as needed.
- Prepares meeting materials and assists with the development of presentations.
- Responsible for keeping inventory of all office supplies and placing orders for replenishment.
- Prepare weekly reports and other departmental projects as needed.
- Tracking of departmental tasks and ensure the timely follow up of all pending projects among departments.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Performs additional tasks that are related to the department.
Qualifications:
- Accounting graduate or related field.
- Some business coursework is preferred.
- 1-2 years administrative experience in a corporate setting.
- Experience in office organization software and accounting software is a plus.
- A+ organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook, Internet, Google Workspace Apps.
- Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally.
- Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and positive service attitude at all times.
- Time management skills is a must.
- Must be a Filipino citizen living in the Philippines.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be willing to report to the office in Loyola Heights, Quezon City (near Ateneo de Manila University).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php22,000.00 - Php24,000.00 per month
