Accounting Supervisor

About the Role
At Xinyx Design Services Inc., we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead and oversee our accounting operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment that handles sensitive information and operates under strict timelines.
You will work closely with a team of associates and specialists, providing leadership while ensuring that all financial and tax-related activities are executed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations
● Supervise daily accounting activities, ensuring all deliverables (month-end and year-end reports) are completed accurately and on time
● Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, timely feedback, coaching, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
● Monitor team performance and ensure alignment with KPIs
● Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity
● Compile, analyze, and review financial information and statements
● Maintain accurate and complete financial records
● Identify gaps and continuously improve accounting systems, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
● Investigate financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
● Ensure adherence to internal policies, controls, and compliance standards
● Collaborate with external auditors and support year-end audit requirements
● Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary adjustments.
● Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
● Monitor cashflow & identify potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.

● Perform other duties as required.

Reporting
● Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
● Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and supporting schedules
● Support internal and external audits by providing required reports and documentation
● Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations
● Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting
● Identify and communicate discrepancies or unusual variances in financial data

Tax Compliance & Audit
● Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with regulatory requirements
● Monitor and ensure timely payment of corporate and real property taxes
● Monitor BIR-related filings, clearances, and documentation
● Oversee tax audits, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
● Stay updated on new tax regulations and advise management on potential impacts

PEZA
● Preparation of Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Reportorial Requirements and Compliance: Economic Zone Monthly Performance Report (EZMPR), Annual Tax Incentives Report, Annual Benefits Report, VAT Zero-Rating Certificate, Certificate of Entitlement of Tax Incentives (CETI), etc.

Key Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
● At least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to audit firms preferred
● Proven experience in people management and team supervision
● Strong knowledge of accounting principles, advanced bookkeeping, and financial reporting
● Solid experience in tax compliance and audit handling
● Proficient in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and Accounting systems (Xero, Netsuite, SAP)
● High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical skills
● Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
● Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
