About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong focus on handling insurance premium payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely collections to join our dynamic team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist you will be working with the Head of Finance and play a crucial role in ensuring a healthy cash flow and financial performance through efficient receivables management, reinforcing Igloo's position as a leader in the insurtech industry and enhancing client experience, fostering loyalty and promoting business growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable:

  • Process and reconcile insurance premium payments from clients.

  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Generate monthly statements and reports to track receivables status.

• Client Communication:
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment reminders.
  • Provide excellent customer service to address client concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Collaboration with Team:
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of receivables.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient billing and collection processes.
• Insurance Broker Expertise:
  • Apply knowledge of insurance policies and premiums to accurately process and record receivables.
  • Understand the insurance billing cycle and its impact on accounts receivable management.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Minimum of 1 year of work experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the insurance broker industry.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience working in a high-growth environment, ideally with a mix of experience in MNCs and start ups
