Who are we looking for?

We have an exciting story to tell, and that’s where you come in! We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and collaborative public relations (PR) expert to join our high-performing communications team – based in India, with flexibility to cover APAC time zones, especially Singapore. Other locations can be considered if the APAC time zone is suitably covered.

What is the role?

Finastra’s PR team works in a fast-paced environment, driving the company’s news agenda, managing media interactions and amplifying our external messages around the world. Our PR programs are designed to raise the Finastra profile and share our vision around collaboration, open finance, Banking as a Service and innovative technologies such as generative AI, in a consistent and compelling way.

We are looking for a PR specialist who takes initiative and is confident juggling multiple projects as they design and manage regional programs for APAC. Excellent writing and communications skills are a must, as well as a desire to achieve great results when it comes to measuring success.

What will I do?
Managing PR for APAC, this role requires a proactive and collaborative individual to take responsibility for Finastra media relations in the region.

You will work closely with the wider PR team to devise, plan and execute regional programs that raise Finastra’s profile and see its spokespeople featured in key media outlets, as well as overseeing our PR agency in Singapore/ Hong Kong to achieve great results. There are potential opportunities to travel from time to time in support of this.

This important role is an opportunity to bring our story to a wide variety of audiences, including large banks, smaller banks and fintechs, and needs someone who can tailor content for regional requirements and understand different media preferences across APAC.

You will also work hand-in-hand with the business unit marketing teams to maximize PR opportunities based on local marketing plans to ensure the PR program is connected to our business goals.

The role includes, but isn’t limited to, planning and executing PR activities in region, drafting and distributing press announcements, creating and editing engaging content, overseeing media interactions and hosting interviews/media roundtables, managing the local PR agency, dealing with senior stakeholders, collaborating with many other Finastra teams – including social media, design, and many more – and reporting on PR results.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a passionate communicator to join an exciting financial technology company and make an impact on how our story is told.

Essential criteria

With a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or a related field preferred, the successful candidate must have prior B2B PR experience, gained either in-house or agency side. Knowledge of financial services and/or technology landscape is a must.

This role requires excellent verbal and written English communication skills and great attention to detail – someone able to craft creative and interesting copy that results in solid, high quality press coverage.

The candidate must be comfortable taking initiative, owning the planning and execution of regional PR projects in APAC, interpreting data and adapting PR strategies, as well as working with senior stakeholders on media interactions.

We’re looking for a team player who is willing to ‘get stuck in’, and who approaches their work with a positive and professional attitude. This role demands fast turnarounds to tight deadlines. You should be highly organized with proven ability to deliver high quality work under pressure. This is your chance to join the movement to create a more open and inclusive financial world.
