Application Support Engineer

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a growing savings bank that has been thriving in servicing SMEs. Our reputable client is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time, and onsite work arrangement with an office based in Makati. Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for banking applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalation management
• Monitor application performance and reliability, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy new releases and updates to banking applications.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes, to ensure the stability and security of banking applications.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers to resolve technical issues and implement enhancements to banking applications.
• Document support processes, procedures, and resolutions to maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
• Participate in on-call rotation schedules to provide after-hours support for critical issues and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including business users and IT teams, to understand requirements and provide timely support and updates.

Key Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience 3+ years in application support roles within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of banking applications, including core banking systems, online banking platforms, and payment processing applications.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques and tools for diagnosing and resolving application issues.
• Familiarity with database technologies, such as SQL, Oracle, or DB2, and ability to write and execute SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery.
